Esther Mark, known as Aunty Esther, in a hall with other participants at the No To DRUG ABUSE campaign rolled out by her team from YALI PLATEAU for secondary school students. She hold a mic and talks on the advocacy as other guests look on.
We build with like minds. We build with who God avails us. We build with willing hearts. But we first, submit it in the place of prayer. I love being Aunty Esther. Esther Mark.

When Nehemiah was done praying and getting clarity from God on what to do, he commenced the action.

He needed resources and one of these resources would be people.

These people are categorised into different groups.

He had to speak to the King as the first port of call.

He went to him, spoke with confidence and authority and spoke in the manner that is worthy of Kings.

This, backed up with the prayers he had made before approaching the King, gave him favour before the King.

He made his request known and the king asked him, especially what he wanted.

You should know that he obtained favour before the King via the prayers he had offered LONG BEFORE HE APPROACHED THE KING.

The King granted him his favour. And this has led me to several pointers.

A. He could approach the king because he was a man of eminence. He was already a well-known man, the King’s aid and this position made it easy for him to approach the King.

Same as Esther in the Bible. When she saw that things were going bad in the Kingdom, she went before the King, badly. She had PRAYED first, for days, and backed up with her confidence, she approached the king.

B. While prominence is good, there is another backing that gives one divine confidence to stand before kings.

David prayed and this enabled him to stand before Goliath with confidence. Samson prayed, and he could stand before the pillars with confidence to do what he wanted.

You can have all the ideas, the eloquence, the prominence, but prayers before the mission sets you apart and gives you SPEED as you progress.

Moses prayed, and alongside his prominence, boldly stood before Pharaoh to demand that the people be allowed to go.

Dear child of God, as you strive to become important in life and lead positions and be well recognised, know that your position will naturally give you access to the King’s audience.

WHAT YOU SAY AND HOW YOU SAY IT — READ CONFIDENCE — , LARGELY DEPENDS ON THE BACKING YOU HAVE.

This backing can come fully from the place of prayers. It is here, that you’re stripped of every ego and come to the full obedience of the sovereignty of Christ over your limitations.

It was the same for Queen Esther. It was the same for Nnanyi Ukwu Moses. It was the same for Uncle Hezekiah when he stood before the angel.

Get all the accolades and all you’ll need. A time will come that if you’re not grounded in the place of prayers, your human calculations and eloquence may fail you.

C. He went to the king and spoke.

After getting the authority from the King, he also went further to meet other people. And these people all bought into his vision of rebuilding the wall because he had done his homework.

After prayers, he needed people to do the work. These people volunteered to take up strategic roles in the project and did it joyfully.

Who do you have that you can run to, speak to, so they buy into that vision that God has given you? Do you have Kings and people and the masses by your side to run with your vision?

Is your relationship with people such that they can easily buy into your plans? Not agreeing because you’re of prominence, but agreeing because they love you and what you stand for?

Who do you have that can buy into your vision and join hands to build with you?

Tomorrow, we’ll analyse these properly. The kings. The people and masses and how they’re important for your vision.

‘’They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work.’’
— Nehemiah 2: 18 —

Don’t forget — I’m always rooting for you.

Oya, bai bai.

Tomorrow, we’ll continue.
